Nicole Williams, Vegan Lady Soul
Scrumptious Summer Vegan Potato Salad made 3 ways!  Classic Southern, Olive & Caper, Crispy Bakon (low carb, healthy, and delicious)

My name is Nicole Williams but most people know me as Vegan Lady Soul – The Diabetic Vegan Specialist on social media. Vegan plant based soul food cooked with love and soul is my area of specialty. As a Certified Community Nutrition Specialist and recovering type 2 diabetic, it’s my mission to bring pure love and soul to vegan plant based food.

I started my vegan plant based journey 6 years ago for health reasons. The thought of diabetes, major health conditions, and my family being affected was not what I wanted for myself. The important lesson learned was to love myself enough to Start Living. I no longer wanted to be or feel trapped in a medical system of sickness. I knew through food, changing my mindset, and forming a relationship with food, my life and health would be better. It’s through food my diabetes is controlled without medication and now I teach others through private cooking classes.

I thank God for giving me the vision to start VLS, the guidance, and never giving up on me. I can say VLS Is “Living Her Best” Vegan Life…

Tamiko Garner, Plant-Based Vegan Sistah
Vegan Deviled Eggs and Terrific Tofu Spread

Come and meet Tamiko Garner, aka the Plant-Based Vegan Sistah, who likes to keep it real and relatable inspiring women of color to adopt a plant-based vegan way of eating one little ole plate at a time.  After becoming a plant-based vegan almost 6 years ago and being a vegetarian for over 30 years, She decide to share her journey with women who were where she was in life, middle age.  So, she started a blog at the suggestion of a friend, to talk about her plant-based vegan journey from a real and relatable point of view with a bit of fun while keeping it simple. That blog turned into a series of events called Vegan Curious Events which were created to dispel the myth that vegan food doesn’t have flavor and that those common animal-based products can be easily exchanged for healthier options.  In addition to the event series, Tamiko has created a short program for the Vegan Curious, hosted her own weekly interview series, has been a guest on podcasts, and regularly engages with her social media family/community sharing tips, daily exercise, and the latest recipes she has tried.

Tamiko has found her passion and gets so excited when someone decides to try the plant-based vegan way of eating one plate at a time. She believes everyone has their own journey and should enjoy each and every step forward towards their healthy vibrant self through food, exercise, and fun.
