Avalanche Acoustic Duo

Acoustic Violin & Guitar

Avalanche is an Acoustic Duo with violin & guitar that was established in 1997 when Liz and Don were members of the Sacramento Symphony Orchestra. A California native, Liz was raised in Phoenix and graduated from the University ot Southern California with a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance. Don was the bass trombonist with the Sacramento Symphony. He studied and performed in Los Angeles and Munich on trombone and guitar. Liz and Don have performed with renowned orchestras and artists, From Luciano Pavoratti’s Farewell Tour to the Moody Blues in concert. Avalanche performs in several areas of California & Nevada including Lake Tahoe, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, the Sonoma and Napa Valley wine country, San Francisco, the greater Los Angeles area and San Diego. Avalanche travels often, so please inquire about other destinations.

The violin and guitar have been paired together throughout history from the Baroque era to the Present. Avalanche arranges their own music which includes Classical, Broadway, Jazz, Celtic, Bluegrass, the Beatles, Classical, Rock and Holiday selections. Folk/Country

Stepheni Elli is a county/folk singer-songwriter. She is an animal rights advocate and vegan since age 13, vegetarian since age 4, all to protect animals. Stepheni had an independent record deal in Nashville, TN in 2010 then went back to school. Now she is back to start creating music again.

West Coast Style Ska, Rock, and Reggae

Sonomacana is a original and cover group performing West Coast Style Ska, Rock and Reggae and often do a version of our band that has no drummer we call “dubstyle”   by live recording and looping hand percussion and playing against our own rhythm track. It’s a lot of fun and people have been enjoying the dynamic sound! Sonomacana performs with guitar, flute, ukulele, and vocals.
